The light-emitting diodes (LEDs) light up immediately, like an incandescent bulb and is a source of light that is reliable, instantaneous, and can be dimmed accordingly. They last up to five times longer than the CFLs, which can literally last a lifetime. Moreover, these are user-friendly as they do not contain mercury and are available in soft, warm, and bright white hues. LEDs work well both indoors and outdoors because of their durability in the cold environment and they are safer, studier and easy to install.
Before we get to the lighting requirements of your home, you need to assess what kind of effect you want to achieve in your room. Some of the points you need to pay special attention to are dark corners, overhead lighting, and the dressing table. Computers, study tables, reading nooks, and dressing tables require powerful sources of light, while the sitting areas demand softer lights to create a cozy ambiance.
Housings: Housings are recessed fixtures which can "house" a variety of line and low voltage lamp styles and wattages. These housings allow for connection to the electrical system and in conjunction with trims and bulbs create the finished product of a recessed fixture.
Depending on its placement location in the house, the look of the bulb is also important. LEDs come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, some of which look just like a traditional incandescent bulb, and even provide the same light quality and color.
