1.) A socket with a bare bulb in it is probably the simplest ceiling fixture. Although it gives off lots of light it doesn't have any decorative value.
For the kitchen, recessed incandescent downlights should be placed approximately 6' to 8' apart. Fluorescent recessed fixtures are a good alternative choice, as they last ten times longer and deliver three to four times more light per watt than incandescent lighting. Plus, recessed fixtures can be hidden in niches or placed to shine through glass shelves for a unique, backlight display.
If you are an avid camper, one of the first places to look for items to light the campground with will be your normal camping supplies. All campers have some form of lantern that they take with them whenever they head to the woods. Since your camping lantern is normally used to provide illumination around the campground primarily for safety reasons, this provides an excellent starting point for lighting. The safety of your guests will be a primary concern at your camping party and these lanterns can address this practical issue quite efficiently. Just remember, these gas camping lanterns can be a fire hazard if they topple over, so place the lanterns in areas that will prevent them from being knocked over by some rowdy guest.
