Surprisingly, most LED lights are incompatible with traditional dimmer switches, which means that you might have to replace those switches with more LED friendly ones. You see, dimmers work by decreasing the amount of energy that gets sent to a light bulb, thus saving you energy. However, LEDs are already energy-efficient, so there's really no need to be using dimmers with them in the first place, as their brightness is by no means an indication of the energy being used. But for those who prefer to keep their dimmers, there are LED optimised dimmers that you can purchase to replace your traditional ones, or you can purchase a dimmer-compatible LED light. Both are rather expensive options, but it's better to know beforehand what you'll be getting yourself into, and they're well worth the cost in the end.
Techniques that space recessed lights to highlight an area, are totally different. Since these lights are not related to overall lighting of the room, you can subtly add the lights on the section of the room that you want to highlight. The spacing depends on a few different things, like the subject that you have selected to highlight and wattage of the light bulbs that you are using. When it comes to highlighting, make sure that the lights are placed at least 3 feet away from the wall. Most of the time, 50 watts and 75 watt bulbs are placed 2 feet away from the wall. But, smaller bulbs like 25 watts are placed 3 feet away from the wall.
There is more to lighting than just light. As all the actors would tell you, good lighting would always bring out the best in your face and features. Similarly, a good picture frame lights would definitely add to the beauty of this art form as would art lighting. There are many ways to highlight the best features of your artwork so besides attracting admiring glances; you would be able to also attract interested buyers.
